Tigaki, Kos
In July this summer I went on holiday to the small resort of Tigaki on the Greek island of Kos. I had never visited Greece before but Tigaki remained unspoilt enough that I could still experience the Greek culture and way of life.
Just a short bus ride away from Tigaki is the island's main resort and port, Kos Town. Here you will find winding streets of shops and restaurants, as well as a beautiful harbour which is the perfect place to take a stroll or go on a boat trip.
Many of the tour operators around Tigaki and Kos island offer trips to the mountain village of Zia. This is regarded as the best place on the island to see the sunset and I would highly recommend an evening here. We visited a lovely restaurant called Taverna Oromedon after reading excellent reviews on Trip Advisor and it didn't disappoint. From the roof terrace there are spectacular views across the island and it's an excellent spot to view the sunset.
